I have a 1964 4020 that has started leaking fuel from a small ,looks like a bleed hole. It is "spurting" out of the hole. Anyone have any suggestions for a quick fix or is it pump time.

I'm unaware that a 4020 inj pump has an "open bleed hole". Can you post a photo of your pump?

Likely a vent hole which means you have an internal seal failure. Shop time is bet. A picture would help though.

I'm trying to remember which pump was used on 4020's. If it is a rotary pump there are umbrella seals around the removable main shaft that are not too bad to replace. Requires pump removal and the knowledge of timing the pump to the engine on re-install.

'64 JD 4020 utilized JDB inj pump. JDB had umbrella seals but faulty umbrella won't cause pump body to leak fuel
