I am wondering what is acceptable for the loader and bucket to drop over time. I have a 16a loader on a '05 tc 45a. The loader arms drop but only a little over time. The bucket seems a bit worse. I timed the bucket from full curl( all the way up) to drop, as if dumping a load of dirt. This is with the bucket empty, tractor not running. It was about 50 minutes from start to finish. Is that normal?

Some drop is normal, and most OEM's publish allowable specs. The bucket seems a little fast on your machine, perhaps it may be time to rebuild the cylinders soon.

Swap curl hose connections with the lift hose connections to see if it is the cylinders or the control valve.

Your seals are starting to go bad inside the cylinders. You will eventually need to have them rebuilt and the sooner the better. Always be sure to set your hyd. down to take pressure off the cylinders when your not operating them. This will help them last longer.

Thank you guys for the help. I will try swapping hose connections. See which is the problem. I will try what mtnviewranch suggested. If it's the cylinders I will do what navasot suggested. I used to know a guy that was good at cylinder rebuilds. Thank you Kennyd for getting me on the right track.

Oh yes I always keep the FEL and 3pt lowered. It's a safer thing with kids around.

Hey guys sorry for the delay.
I swapped the hose connections like mtnviewranch suggested and the bucket still dropped. So I am brining my cylinders to be rebuilt at a local hydraulic shop. Thanks for the idea and help MtViewRanch and Navasot.
