Since when are they lifetime on the rotors? They always used to be 2yrs... pads were lifetime though.

You're correct. Shows how often I buy rotors. Actually I did buy some for my wife's toyota avalon last summer but didn't check the duration of the warranty.

Have you seen the brakes on the F150? They are huge. My 2012 has no issues stopping a heavy load. The only issue I have had is traction on wet surfaces from a dead stop. With 10,500# on the hook and 500# in the bed it's still easy to break the rear end loose.

Chris

They would have a harder time stopping for the same reason you are experiencing traction problems as I see it. Traction is related to weight, reducing weight reduces traction. Nice trucks though. If I was in the market would be an F150 3.5 freakoboost.

It seems to me that an Ecoboost is an excellent option for those who wish to pull heavy trailers, maybe not everyday, but enough to need the power. While getting good mpg. The option of two Ecoboosts just lets you lean more toward the power end or more towards the mpg end. I am quite excited about it.

Get a grip. It's not about him, or you. There's about 6 good posts that have just been deleted for no good reason. Doesn't bode well for freedom of speech in this country

Darkblack..it seems that many that dare challenge the exaggerations of Ford owners gets axed So posts from people that work for suppliers of Ford ( so essentially work for Ford ) get invited to try preproduction trucks , because they essentially work for Ford, get posted as if they are "Joe average truck owner" . I ask that TBN explain themselves please whether in a PM to me or otherwise............because the slant is becoming ridiculous.

Marketplace is a consumer advocate type journalistic show here in Canada , last week they did a show about how many online reviews are faked by companies that buy "online reviews" (at least 15%) ............I wonder if an element of that is what is happening here maybe without TBN knowing it.

You do realize that anyone with a drivers license can do what Diamondpilot did right? See https://f150drive.com/events-home.aspx for the dates and locations. Here is a thread on another forum with a bunch of people who signed up to go: http://www.f150forum.com/f118/anyone-else-sign-up-f150-drive-event-274501/
It sounds like the dealer where his Dad bought a F150 from was being proactive and trying to get their customers to come in and try a new truck (in hopes that they would decide to buy one).
The posts that got removed were pulled because they were insulting and rude (or they quoted a post that was), not because they "dared challenge the exaggerations of Ford owners"

Sorry to report but any "Joe average truck owner" could've test driven a 2015 f150. Diamondpilot was not as special as you may have thought. I got email after email to go drive one but never pursued it. There are still plenty of venues available if you would like to feel like a VIP. Here is a link to go drive one.

Edit:
I was beat to the punch and agree with the above post. In addition, there are many more ford owners as shown by sales numbers so it may seem more one sided.

As in all sporting venues, winning teams cheer the loudest. Losing teams tend to shed more tears and complain to the refs. Lol

What do you guys mean? I just got an invite from Chrysler to come look at and buy and new 300C. It was very personal. You mean other people might have got this personal invite also?

On a more serious note, people that know DP realize he has a certain bias but I think his original post was an honest review of the truck and what he thought about it. Of course I noticed it didn't take him long to bash an ecodiesel, but I would have been disappointed if he hadn't.

As far as the new trucks made of aluminum? Do the automakers have a choice? They have to be getting 80 mpg at some point in the future, they have to do this somehow.

No thanks...........I googled Ecoboost before I bought and saw that correct name should be Ecobust..
As for the rest funny I saw in that post the terms " pre production" and destroyed after use......that is not joe average testing, that is Ford approaching their valued suppliers to try out their preproduction model....and if it was not then I guess we just saw further exaggeration from a truck fleet owner who makes his wages off of Ford.

I'm curious about the "pre-production model that will be destroyed" comment. Could that mean that the computer was rigged to dump in more fuel, change the timing and add boost or is it just that the final production models will have some changes that make the pre-production ones orphans without a warranty.

The former would get you great press and rave reviews, the latter is a liability issue.

Just sayin'
