Hello
I was cleaning out my barn when someone interrupted me and I shut down to see what the problem was. When I started to fire up again she wouldn't fire. Instrument panel lights on turn ignition key to far right and nothing, not even a click. It was then that I notice the yellow light on the bottom left corner was on. I do not know what this light is for. it has a frame across the top with a little gear in it.
Can someone tell me what might have happen and why it wont start?
Your help would be greatly appreciated. I don't have a Manuel for the tractor.

Check your PTO to see if it's off.

Thanks for the get back leejohn. I have moved ever leaver on the tractor and the problem is it's in a compromising position with a bucket full of barn yard stuff in the barn. May have to hook to it and pull it out to where in can get under it if I need to. Do you know what the symptom like is I mention on my post?

Odds are, your tractor won't start because the HST Lever is not in a Neutral position. If it is, there may be a problem with the associated safety switch. However, you probably shut the tractor off with it in gear and didn't remember to put it in Neutral when you tried to restart it.

The three lights above the hour meter are, from left to right;

Glow Plug Heating Light
Engine Oil
Battery

One of them is on because the key is in the Start or Run position, which is normal. They go out when the engine starts. If they come on when the engine is running, that indicates a problem. Since your engine is not running, they are not part of your no start problem.

Thanks Mike will get started on it again this morning....will look again at the levers..I felt sure I had put everything in neutral...Maybe it's the position the tractor is in...... I may have to hook to and move it some to free something up.

There have been a few times when I've had to move the HST lever to the other Neutral position and/or wiggle the lever while starting the tractor.

Thanks Mike for the suggestions.....so far nothing...will try to locate the safety switch or a loose wire

Mike and leejohn thanks for weighing in on my problem. I found it. Obviously when I went over a brush pile a limb caught in the wires going to the safety switch and unplug one of them. After pulling the tractor out of the stuff in the barn I could crawl under the tractor for a closer look. Those wires were next to the bottom of the rear end and very subject to getting caught in most any type brush and briar patches.
