You need to press fit some bushings in that plate.

Willing to do so if I can find the correct size bushing. Know of a source? Don't have the means to enlarge the factory holes to take the bushings at Rural King and Tractor Supply.

Thanks for the info and suggestion. I've sent a PM.

As a last resort you could load the attachment in your truck and haul it to a welding shop or machine shop with the bushings in hand. Probably would be under $100 for them to ream it out to accept the bushings. The shop might be able to do it on your tailgate.

There are rotary files that fit into drills that could be used to enlarge the holes. It would take time and wouldn't be exact, but it would work well enough for farm purposes.

Haven't heard from the Titan folks (and don't expect I will over the weekend), but I'm beginning to think this is a defect. I'd expect my welding shop would charge $50 or so, but doesn't seem like something I should have to do for a new attachment that is for Cat 1 machines.

But thanks for both ideas. I suspect I'll end up using one of them.

Yesterday was my first time to try the plow. Titan had said bushing weren't required for the bottom pins. After about 100' the plow jerked hard to the left. I stopped the tractor and the left spring pin in the Cat 1 pin was gone and the adjustable arm on the plate had moved and allowed the left side of the plow to fall.

I was able to lift the plow and back up the drive. I has able to put the left side pin back together, but won't trust the plow until I figure out what happened. I think the combined movement of the pin within the short arm and the movement of the arm, the spring pin sheared. I haven't located it yet.

I'm going to look at bushings again, but I'm also going to find a means of locking the lower arms to prevent them from sliding. Would be interested in suggestions for the best method to accomplish that.

I'll try to post pictures when it isn't so cold.

Thanks.

Did you tell Titan the holes are the wrong size?

Instead of pins, use 7/8 bolts and nylock nuts.

Here is my suggestion to lock the arms, use two square U bolts, one on the outside edge of each arm.

Great ideas! I did contact Titan and they didn't believe it would be a problem. It is larger than a Cat1 and smaller than a Cat2, so I can't use a bushing. The plow side is Cat0 so I can't do a simple bolt, but you have me thinking. Thanks!

Cat0 is 5/8, so you can still use a bolt, or drill the plow frame to match the hole (metric?) on the Titan.
