Leaf blower has served me well for many years. Also to blow the leaves/grass/dust off of the mower or mower deck and the back of the tractor (where it seems to collect).

All great posts, but I don't see many of these suggestions can be used in the field (away from an electrical or water supply).
Now, once one is back at the barn...yep, air, water.

I agree with Roy I thought they were asking about best way to clean rad while mowing

I carry a small brush in tractor toolbox and a leaf blower in back of truck

Gas powered leaf blower here. I like to keep as much trash blown off the mower and tractor plus the engine and radiator.

I use a CO2 tank connected to a blow gun with a 12 in. extension. I bent the end and glued a vacuum cap over the tubing. This way i can blow out my radiator, fill tires or what ever in the field with nothing around.

Back in my dozer driving days, we used fans that blew through the radiator, as opposed to sucking the air through. Kept all the dust and leaves, etc. blown off the radiator. Don't know if such is available for farm-type tractors, but it would help the situation, I think.

Exactly jim44. The company I work for we install reversible fans on our Cummins powered equipment. They come with their own vacuum pump and electrical connections. These fans are made for almost any type of ag/farm/construction equipment. The controls are adjustable for frequency of reversing the air flow to keep the rad's clean. And easy to install as well. Remove the old fan and install the new one, run one hose to the fan, mount the controller, and make a few electrical connections. They even have a switch so you can reverse the fan at will from the operator's position. All self contained.

No need to get off your piece of equipment and drag out a hose, air tank or fire up a compressor, leaf blower to blow off/out the radiator. Saves a lot of time and effort. Just drive and the system once set will do the work for you. B.
