LOL. 300' of driveway & parking for about a dozen cars. Bring it over! :)
When I was young, we had a 300' driveway, two car carport, 4 parking places and a roundabout, 4 siblings and 5 shovels. As the siblings got older and moved away, it got down to me and one shovel. The year I got married and moved out my folks bought:
A yard tractor with mower, snowblower and blade.
A small snowblower.
A leaf blower.
A snowplow for their Landcruiser.

I asked why they didn't buy that stuff sooner.... they said they had me.

It did build character.

I am going to use a 7 foot Meyer truck snow plow on my JD4120/400CX.
I just need to get 2 longer hoses & it will be ready to go.
this will be a big change from a 1026R with a 54" blade.

When mounting on the FEL like Chevy is doing, has anyone put skids under the FEL arms so it can be put in "float" ?
Seems this would be easier to control the plow as it would also then be in float.

Or do you just curl the "QH rams" forward enough to keep the chain loose so the plow floats? Seems that chain would be difficult to see from the tractor seat.

Do you have a crossover relief valve in that hookup? If not, consider one.

My first thoughts were to put skid shoes on the loader, before I found a plow. After getting the plow hooked up & seeing that I can change the height of the cutting edge by raising & lowering the loader, I decided they were not needed.
I have not plowed with mine yet, I have just done some dry runs. It appears the more slack the better.
I have both paved & gravel drives. It is nice being able to change the height of the cutting edge without having to adjust the skid shoes on the plow.

nice multi use..
View attachment 394481Getting ready for winter. my new add on a 7.5 ft. Fisher plow, already for yellow paint. I finished painting the bucket, the frame and plow mounts, primed the plow. Now working on new hoses to go to the rear remotes as well as a cross over cushion valve. drained the cylinders yesterday and filled with UDT 2. also pictured is my 1 ton dodge with 8 ft plow. I am in the process of welding a 3 point hitch on the plow frame so it will be able to go front or back on the tractor with power angle. when on the front I have a 1/2 ton counter weight made in a 55 gallon can.View attachment 394477View attachment 394478View attachment 394477View attachment 394479View attachment 394479View attachment 394480
