Brandi .. Beautiful pup !!

Woke by thunder at 1:30 and it was a strong front.. Lightning, wind and heavy rain ... Still raining lightly... Really need rain .. I tried plowing wheat ground last week .. 8-10 inches deep no moisture rock hard.

Brandi that puppy looks smart, playful and ready to go. Looks like fun and a good companion. Do we get to name her?

The wind is picking up here. The last cold front Saturday brought 2" of rain, we are looking for more today. Maybe we will get some runoff for the ponds.

The City's Code Red telephone system got my wife up 3 times last night after midnight warning of severe weather. And this morning, I see the NWS shows Denton got .66" of rain, but I just dumped about 1.23" of rain out of my gauge. And I don't see any signs of high winds or damage around here. Rain did blow nearly halfway through the breezeway, but it doesn't take much wind for that to happen. Today is garbage collection day for this neighborhood, so lots of garbage cans were set out last night and they don't seem to have moved or turned over.

Rain has arrived. Temps dropped 10 degrees in a matter of minutes. Had to put on a sweatshirt, since it's now in the low 60s. Happy for the rain and the coolness feels good, too. My lunchtime ride is looking dubious.

We got 2.75 inches last night, I could hardly believe it, that's 4.55 inches in three days. HS

As of 0930 we've had 1 3/8 in. of rain.......Yehawwwwwww!! We need it. We went over Lake Fork on the way to Dallas on Sat. and it was several feet low.

You need to HTFU. The sun is shining, and the roads are drying. That wind just keeps you cool and makes you work harder. Quit whining and start pedaling.

Her name is Blue Belle. Her shelter name was Cookie Dough. Since she looks like Blue Bell Cookies and Cream ice cream:licking:, and she is Blue Tick, I decided to call her that and Belle for short. I was thinking........."Cat", short for Catahoula, but my daughter said a dog shouldn't be named..............CAT.

We were blessed in that the rain early Saturday cleared out in time for my sons pasture wedding. Don't have a rain gauge but we got a good drenching this morning.

Beautiful Fall day today. Their calling for clear skies and at 0530 this morning it's 47* with a high projected to be 74*. What a great day to be able to get outside. If the wind stays down we may get a chance to burn the ever increasing Brush.

I word to the wise.. Don’t cut across a wet hay field,, no matter how many cuss words you know it will not pull itself out,, yes it is four wheel drive.. But it high centered and it is a long walk back to the barn with muddy boots.. When you get to barn the frustration is gone cause all you want is a cold drink of water and a place to set. I would have fired myself if I had someone to replace me.. smile.. I will get it out tomorrow..Lou67
