I would really like to keep the standard bucket, he tried to play flip the coin with me to see if i had to pay for it or not. Hoping to sign the dotted line tomorrow and get er delivered with the standard bucket on it. He has agreed to to deliver it with the standard bucket and when all the parts get in he will pick it up and install the 4n1 and the thumb. I am going to see what i can get a set of non orange pallet forks for out of him, they would be real handy for all kinds of stuff and short of a rock crapple bucket thats all i want to add.
thanks for the info on the SSQA, i noticed their propaganda no longer indicates that fact.
any luck i will be l45ing it tomorrow afternoon!!

Hi Workinallthetime

Purchasing the forks is an excellent idea. I always travel with my forks and a bucket. One of the reasons I am glad I kept my B26 bucket is I usually leave it at home and bring the 4in1 with me to the job site. I usually leave the 4in1 at the site and just bring the forks back and forth to home. It makes for about 800 pounds less that I have to haul back and forth so probably saves a little bit of diesel and I don't have to spend time chaining the bucket on the forks.

Actually now that I have my new 16' dumping trailer, I can drop the bucket in the front of the trailer and then back the L45 in and then the forks overhang the tailend by just a few feet.

Since you are going to have the front remote anyway, I would suggest you look for a set of forks that have hydraulic width adjustment to them. It cost me about $800 more but it saves a lot of times on and off the seat to mess around adjusting forks. I do a lot of work with rocks and everyone is a different size so I used to be constantly on and off the seat but not anymore.

I'm sure you'll have a great time on the L45 this afternoon and this weekend. I have to take a bunch of trees down at my place tomorrow so mine will be getting a workout too.

Regards,

Lauren

i started this journey how ever many years ago with a bx23 tlb, then i wanted bigger so i bought a b3030 tlb, today i drove my new L45 and think i should have started here!!!
My only complaits are all the noise the canopy makes while operating the loader and the hydrostat behavior compared to the b3030. The power and weight are awsome, the cycle times for the FEL and BH are so much faster and much more fluid. This is one amazing machine designed for 1000's of hours not 100's. I also like the low and wide stance, alot of the work i do is hanging off the side of a slope collecting rocks, and with these forks i can get em with alot less orange paint marks. i will post pics as soon as i get them uploaded.

Did you look into the WR Long 4-1 at all? It may be quicker to order one of those if the Kubota ones are on back order for a while? Most dealers are already WR Long dealers and if not, can easily become one with a phone call.

either way, Congrats on a sweet setup! I've often thought of how nice a new M59 would be over my current tractor! I think the dedicated TLB's like you have are so much more robust and durable, with better lifting capacities all around.

If they sold them with factory cabs, I'd be all over it!

Nice looking machine there!

Congrat's. I'm jealous. Almost wish I had the land and use for an L45 or one of the other dedicated TLBs. Quite a step up in price over a backhoe equipped tractor. I guess you figured the B26 was too close in capability to your old B3030 with the hoe? Oh, and are you shure you're done shopping? There's always the M59 to step up to. :D

Piston- I have looked at several options but would perfer to stick with Kubota, i remember when i bought my B3030 everyone was saying how much better "brand x" backhoe was, years later ive read multiple post how that "brand x" back hoe has had issues.
CH- started with 2 acres and to much work for a shovel and a wheel barrow, now live on 10 acres with lots of work to be done. I pushed the b3030 to its limits and due to those limits i can not get some things done i want to do (fel, bh, and hydo capicity). The M59 and larger cat/jd units are to big to get in the area's i need to.
As for the price when you price out a good sized L or M add in the bh with thumb and 4n1 they are not that far apart and you get a machine with the hydo to handle attachments and built for constuction style work not farming

I thought the round back bucket was the other option besides the 4 in 1 on the L45.
Or was that just a bucket the dealer had?
On my last F3680 there was a long delay to get the steering tires in after the mower was delivered to the dealer. (odd size used only on the F series).
Hope it is not a long wait.

Did the dealer give a time frame for delivery of the 4 in 1 bucket?
Has any one used the HD round back bucket they show on the build my Kubota site?
Climbing off a regular tractor to climb on the add on backhoe gets old real fast.
