68 with 86 in store and humid after a very friendly rain - we only got 1 inch - glad it wasn't the gully washer that NOVA and MD received.

Drew, glad you have already gotten that special contented feeling - occasionally I look around my place and still feel it after being here 29 years. It will probably hit you again when you get your major interior projects finished.

Well, the rain has allowed me to take a rest from climbing up and down the ladder caulking and painting, but I guess it's time to get back to it once things dry out.

68F and .24 inches rain last 24 hours.

Off to lab for blood work. Prep for upcoming cardiologist visit. No complaints, just something my regular care provider felt was something I should do.

Be safe
Have a great day.

good afternoon all. 65F and clear this morning, 82and breezy during ride (passed 2,000 miles for year). Cleaned out garage attic now sorting through all of it. Still need to trim lawn, fix seat post, (stole wife's) and finish rear wheel truing.

Good Afternoon. 1655, partly cloudy, 93F {113 heat index} with 66% humidity. Forecast high of 93F with 20% chance of rain this afternoon, and a low of 73F tonight.

Well I got Mamma transferred to the rehab in Blountstown. 20 minutes from the Larro Ranchero, instead of over an hour. Maybe my running will slow down a little now. It turned out the nurse who was helping her was a distant cousin {her great grandmother and my grandmother were sisters}, and she still had the baby blanket Mamma had made for her when she was born. You can't talk bad about anyone in a small town because the odds are they are your kin.

Since I was in town, I went by Margie's office to early vote. They had flatbread and cold cuts for the staff, so I got a sandwich out of the deal. I'm sure not everyone gets that kind of service:D

Hope everyone has a good day.

Larro

well I have had a very good day.
got all the equipment put away here in NC, and the floor problems turned out to be moisture related fully resolvable with gutters and a fan down there. Of course I do have thousands of extra dollars of cost because in most areas I have to tear up both the pine floor and the laminate on top of it, and then start over.

and the news improves....I have an offer on my motorhome. Yeah. Older couple wanted a smaller gas Class A and I sure guess he doesn't have arthritis like me.

and floating along on that pleasurable news well my float got put in high gear
and I was speeding towards the promised land.
Going to sign an offer on my home in PA tomorrow, on the market just under three weeks.
Settle mid Sept so I'll have plenty of time to do the fixing up I need to once the movers have left.

The Fat Lady is warming up...
Now I blew in her ear to see if she wanted to dance, :dance1:
but I only got something muttered about not counting my chickens.
But I don't have any chickens. Hmmmm.
and then I swear she gave me a little squeeze on the way out
and told me to keep the light on.:D

Pretty bad day here. I have a sibling that is having some health issues. I spent the night with her, drove home this am, no sleep at all. I feel terrible. I did pick up my new to me M101 trailer. I think it will work great with my bota!!

Drew, the modern approach to crawlspaces is to treat them like conditioned space. Insulation, vapor barrier, AC/ventilation. You might ask about the technique in that location. A fan would help but it can only blow warm humid air into a soil-cooled space.

Glad you have a home buyer lined up, that would be pretty painless as home selling goes.
