Up, early, then back to bed for a bit. Didn't sleep well. Need to get going on my chores. Great looking day out there.

Good morning all. Temps Thursday in the 70's all day. Got 3.5" rain on Thursday (normal total for August). I was surprised how little the creeks were up on Friday during the bike ride. Friday was 72 to 82F cloudy most of the day with spotty drizzle. Worked on inside jobs both days. Did get the couples golf in, our foursome won $150 in the skins competition. 72F this morning cloudy and some drizzle. Riping albums and re-cleaning the fireplace today.

David (moss) Good to hear the seat time worked. It has always amazed me that when I have needed to reach out for help, some many people have had to deal with similar situations as whet I am dealing with, and just knowing that has helped me.

David (sadamo) Good to hear you came through the storm with little damage :)

Aaron the robot sounds like fun.

Glad to hear the storm subsided a bit before hitting the island David Sodamo.

Drew, you need to take it easy on that back. Be patient with things that can twerk it, like hooking up 3pt attachments and lifting heavy objects. I hope you ultimately can get it repaired. Modern medical science does wonders. I have made many spinal implant devices at my last job.

We are finally dealing with the dog days of summer with the "feels like" temps reaching over 100 and still around 90 at 10pm. I almost got overheated wrestling my Deere 350 9 foot sickle bar cutter off the tractor. It took me several attempts to get it juxtapositioned with the correct amount of cinder blocks and shims to keep it from falling over. Man, I wish I had the 450 model that is mounted on a caddy. $$$

Moss, I really like your Flex, that will make some family a great vehicle. Wish I could afford it! Hope you sell it fast.

Stay cool everybody.

wife made me some 1/2 regular 1/2 decaf coffee. Seems like the over partaking of caffeine is giving me problems these days. Have almost totally stopped drinking diet sodas. Maybe have 1 every other week now whereas I used to drink 4 a day.

Good Morning. 1025, scattered clouds, 91F {105F heat index} with 66% humidity. Forecast high of 91F with 60% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, and a low of 75F tonight. I got some work done in the garden yesterday, picking peas, pinto beans, cucumbers, and tomatoes, digging up the last of the onions, and planting some yellow eye beans Mamma had bought, and replanting my crimson sweet melons that hadn't come up like they should have. Also ran the cultivator between the rows of all the younger stuff and made it rain on the purple hull peas. I don't like to lay soaker hoses down until I have plowed them for the last time. It did get a little warm while I was out there. At 1030 when I came in the house, the heat index was 115F.

But I'm at work today, where the hardest thing I will do is carrying my over filled plate from the buffet table at the family reunion back to me office. I did come in early and walk my 2 miles before the customers got here. So I have a few extra calories in the bank.

2 or 3 years ago Margie had to give up caffeine. I have always been a big coffee drinker, and it was crazy to brew two pots for her to have her cup or two of decaf. I was very addicted to caffeine, so I slowly added more decaf to the blend, going from half caf down to the 90/10 blend I use now. {8 parts Folgers decaf/1 part Starbucks Italian dark roast decaf/1 part Black Silk}

Hope everyone has a good weekend. This is a road course weekend for the Left Turn Boys, so a lot of them will have problems keeping all four tires on the black stuff.

71F and only .02 inches since midnight. A nice quiet night compared to Thu. Foggy/overcast as I type.

Breakfast with friends, then have to vote.
Invited to other friends tonight whose kids are visiting from the mainland. We lent them our car to save the rental car expense. Could be an interesting conversation as the SIL works for NOAA.

Be safe
Have a great day.

Wayne, I'm sure you've said before but what kind of camp do you have? The kind with planned activities for the happy campers? gosh Wayne, you must have your hands full with an all girls camp... bats and mice do not mix with girls of most ages. Ok, the real answer is...
I guess I should call it our summer home! We are in up state New York, in the adirondack mountains on the Raquette river. Activities include happy hour at 4 PM. LOL

Sometimes we wait until 4, but often start at 3PM :)

What?? You think being close to the International Date Line changes the rules??? You live in one of the oldest parts of the western day, ought to push Happy Hour back, not ahead.

Thank goodness Kyle told Drew to stop twerking. Somebody had to say something eventually. :)
