JD 6615 PTO problem

/ JD 6615 PTO problem #2
The pto dis - engages within 30 seconds or so any ideas on why?

Probably there is a speed sensor that is either bad or the wires to it are bad.

Look right above the PTO guard (at least that is where I know some of them are) there should be a small cover. Under that cover is the speed sensor. If it doesn't send a signal back that the PTO is turning it shuts down the PTO.

I agree speed sensor or possibly a relay

I also agree on the PTO speed sensor. You can swap it with your ground speed sensor, they are the same part number unless you have the creeper add on transmission.
If you swap and your speedometer is still working on your instrument panel your sensor was good. If not you found the problem. Sensor is about $20 in USA, plus get a new O-ring for $2.50

I lost the speedometer and swapped sensors to check the ground speed sensor. Mine was the sensor. The swap fixed the speedometer.

Sensor is AL204621
O-ring is 51M7044

This is correct. Under a cover above the PTO guard.
Raise the PTO guard. Loosen two 7mm allen head screws. Remove cover. I think the sensor is 30mm hex. I used a 1 3/16" socket since I did not have Metric that big.
