I carry two Leathermans, a "crush" that is a small Vise grip, and a Pulse, a close relative of the original. Use the heck out of both of them.

My RTV 1140 fully decked out with tools, lights and supplies, to transport me around the ranch.

On my person.
Cell phone with photo, phone, video, mapping, text, note taking for router codes , weather alerts, alarm clock, calendar, time, calculator, etc. capability
billfold with money, plastic, spare car key, identification, CCL, social security card, insurance card, etc.
Kel Tec PF9
Leatherman SURGE with diamond sharpener, 20 extra bits for screwdriver, hex driver, etc., tweezers, all in one belt holder
2 key chains for all the vehicles, houses, etc. that I need access to.
CREE LED flashlight in belt holder
belt for leatherman, flashlight holders, hold pants up.

All these things frequently keep me from going back and getting other tools and allow me to be prepared for unanticipated or planned activities. These things are less than 5 lbs total....keys, Leatherman and PF9 are each about a lb each. Flashlight plus phone is about another lb.

I have thought about it. I honestly don't know anything else (light) which I could add to this package to significantly increase my ability to communicate widely, be safe, perform chores, move about the ranch, house or town, remember things, know things, etc.

The OP asked what you carry on your person. Myself, I never seem to be able to carry what I'll need, most of the time it's too big to carry.

The most useful on the RTV900 is a 14" chainsaw, fuel and oil. Too often we have trees down on the trail. And a pair of clippers for the briars that keep growing. There's a pair of fence pliers, an adjustable wrench, and a 4' section of chain for the winch.

But of course, there's never what I need. On a typical project, the RTV gets loaded up with tools.

Yes, the pocket welder sounds like a good idea! Just yesterday I was changing the oil in the skid steer and needed the welder! (The oil filter wrench broke but a few small welds fixed it.)

My Springfield XDs in .45....oh wait wrong "carry" thread. If I'm working outside I always have my Leatherman Supertool on my belt and Leatherman pocketknife in my pocket.

"It's so amazing you can even put it in your pocket."

...and to think we buy big heavy welders when we could just use this....

The idea sounded great. But the youtube video sure didn't tell a lot about it other than announce its name about a thousand times. The pictures didn't show anything very productive about it either. I'm glad it fits your need, but for me - its a no-go.

Let's see. A Leatherman surge, a kobalt folding utility knife and a Remington pocket knife. Seem to use all three daily. Now that's all on me. But then there's the truck that I try to keep close by as it has more tools in it than the shop does.

I always have a small pocket knife in my pocket that has a slotted and Philips head screwdriver on it. Its one of those things that I find very handy to have available all of the time. I carry several tool boxes in my truck, but I'll usually just use my pocket knife before going to get a screw driver or utility knife from the tool box.

I also carry chapstick, dental floss and ear plugs with me all the time.

Heck, I would never use something like that - it would be an even better joke if it weren't a real item overseas

Good choice - Ruger LCP for me in a Crossbreed MiniTuck. About 90% of the time for the LCP, .38 snubbie otherwise.

I think single action makes a better carry tool than double, looong pulls and short sight radius don't go well together. I like my Sig P938SAS hanging in a KHolster...
