GT 2544 Front Oil Seal

The front oil seal is leaking on my GT 2544. The replacement from the Dealer is smaller than the one I pulled off. I found one at a parts house that was metallic. It held oil pressure for approx. 10 hrs. then spun out. Anyone know where I can find the correct oil seal? KH-24-032-01? Or know why the metallic one would not work? thanks, Dennis
