the headstone finally got placed, and I went to visit today.
Not easy.
Even seven months later, there isn't a day I don't miss her.
I put my hands on top of that headstone and just said goodbye again.
Maybe I should get like my older friend whose wife is buried next to Nadene, and he
comes and says hello, not goodbye.
I'll work on that.

I'm about to buy a small farm in another state and I think time and moving will make everything come out just fine.
We all have a time on this Earth and I don't want to waste mine.
I've got an orchard to plant and I'm sure I'll name one tree Nadene.

Wow, daug. I met you on you "Head west..." Thread and knew your wife had passed away, but never came to this part of forum before right now. What a story you have shared with us! Thank you. Reading about your wife makes me want to work harder to be a better person. She is an inspiration to me.
