I recently purchased a 1710 w/770B loader. A bad pilot bearing required me to remove the loader before splitting the tractor, and I realized having the stands would come in handy. The pics show my attempt to copy the oe-looking loader stands. The nice part is that the stands stow in the loader arms when not in use!

Just trying to figure out how to remove our 770B loader. Your pics are great. I believe we have the loader stands already, so this should make it a lot easier.

Just trying to figure out how to remove our 770B loader.

It's not too difficult....level bucket, remove front pins, remove rear wedge pins, raise loader (it will lift off rear mounts), install loader stands, lower loader so stands are supporting loader, disconnect hydraulics, and back tractor out.

I downloaded the 770B manual on NH's technical publication website (just searched 770B): Choose Items

I downloaded the manual this evening and have been reading through it. What do,you do about the spool valve control? I'm not sure where that is located, but I haven't actually looked at my tractor yet. Do you change yours from closed to open when loader is disconnected to prevent damage to pump from overheating fluid?

I've got the 770B on a 1710 tractor with the 1 lever remote valve that's mounted onto the loader frame, so that's what I'm familiar with. On the 1710 hydraulic system, the loader is plumbed into the relief valve/diverter valve manifold (see picture). Just disconnect the quick couplers and turn the spool selector (circled in red) to open.

I'm not sure what tractor you have or what kind of valve(s) you're using, but I'm guessing you can just disconnect the QCs and turn the spool selector valve to open.

I have a 1720. I will look and see how it is plumbed.

Could you please give specs on the stands you made. They look great and I also have a 770B loader that needs stands. What size metal did you use and what is the overall height? Thanks, Matt.

Geez. Don’t think I do really. If I do I won’t find them. They are pretty basic. Next time I’m out at the tractor I’ll look into what it takes to remove the stands and I could send you pics and measurements.
