Best Replacement Loader Control Joystick

My Nimco 422 loader valve has some issues and is need of repair, a loose boom spool.

I have the joystick held up with a bungee cord right now. If I take the cord off the joystick drops on its own and the boom raises.

I am considering replacing it with a brand new unit.

In your opinions who makes a better valve and why?

BRAND from surplus center, or Prince?

I also may try fixing the existing Nimco.

Check your spool centering springs and the nut that keeps them tight in the cans at the bottom of the valve.

Valves by Prince or Brand will work fine.

Match your valve GPM rating to the pump GPM.

Husco is the probably the best loader valve but you will rarely find them for sale at discount houses. I installed a Prince on my Branson and while it was significantly better than the "factory" valve it still does not meter or feather very well on the dump circuit. I.e. with an over hanging load on the bucket it will runaway or free fall very easily.

I believe Husco is the factory for Kubota "B" series & possibly JD on their 3000 series.

I was able to fix the valve.

I opened up the cap on the end and the bolt came loose that holds the spool and spring together.

I was able to put it back together and it is working great!

I also had a bent stud ball on the joystick.

I was able to find the valve through Brand with the correct mounting configuration and spool pattern from prior posts on this site.

It was going to take 7 weeks to get the one I needed, but fortunately I was able to cancel the order.

My valve has no leaks also.
