This becoming scary. From the National Weather Service for an area not too far from me.

...Record high minimum temperature tied at Death Valley CA this morning...

The morning low of 83 degrees at Death Valley tied the record for the warmest low on this date since 83 degrees was measured in 1918.

Looks like its going to be one hot summer.

70f and no rain last 24hrs, sun shining brightly

Great day yesterday, last piece piece of roof tin fitting and placed, even got some mowing done.

Hope today to get a load of concrete to finish off the driveway, get some more roofing screws in place, mow a bit more.

Wow. We haven't seen 70 so far..... I understand the west is in drought, so high temps don't help that. Might be a tough year in California.

Did you see this long-range temperature forecast from weather.com?

West Coast Roast, above average in Texas and Maine. Cooler everywhere else. I always take these long-range forecasts with a large grain of salt. We'll see.




We did make it to 60*F, with cloud cover all day.

Has been 62 here today for a while, spend much of the day cleaning up still MORE of that storm debris from last December....I am only about 80% done. Probably not going to have a garden this year because of the delay.

Good Afternoon. 1705, sunny, 90F with 43% humidity. Forecast high of 91F this afternoon, and a low of 59F tonight.

I worked in the garden this morning. Got the whole thing plowed, watered the peppers and tomatoes and did a little hoeing in the squash. I need to side dress everything, but I have to work in the office a couple of days this week, so not sure when I'll get it done.

Coffee pot is brewing. 33° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 63° with clear skies all day . Going to give cutting the lawn a try today. Had to order a new tires for lawnmower. $50 for a 9" tire from JD. Should be able get lawn done by filling tire before starting. Must be my year for tires. Car has a slow leak on one of it's front tires.
Erv, AccuWeather shows that Howell has had 4 plus 70° days this year. All in April. They probably happened while we were sleeping.

Just curious, what does concrete cost per yard there? I know many things are much more expensive in Hawaii because they have to be "imported".

I spent all weekend pulling soaking wet carpet & pad out of the basement, and I did get the woodstove lit to help with the drying out process.

I got almost all the furniture back in, some is in the attic, and I is mostly dry. I need to get the TV set up for this weekend with the girls at a minimum.

Looks like I've got plenty of time to finish, yesterday my Boss laid me off. I'm on Payroll until the end of the month but I need a new job ASAP it seems.
