Looking for one now.
I have a BX-1500 and the valve stems on the front tires are dry rotted and starting to leak where the stem goes through the wheel. Anybody know the wheel hole size for the stem or the trade number for a stem that fits? I would like to have a new stem in hand before I remove the tire. If the stem is an odd one I may have trouble getting one and won't have use of my tractor.

Thanks

I replaced the valve stems on my BX2350, just grabbed some from the Auto parts store. They worked great. I think most are all the same size hole.

The front tires may all be the same size, but the back tires are special two piece stems made to take apart to add water quickly. I think automotive stems are all you need for the front.

There are two sizes of rim holes. The standard auto size and the larger truck rim size. At exactly what point they switch hole size as the truck goes up in size I can not say.

I would strongly recommend metal valve stems. My tractor came with metal stems and I have converted all trailers and work vehicle to them as well over the last 2 decades.

I purchased metal valve stems from etrailer.com thinking they would be just fine. (did not know what I know now and assumed they would fit the rims I bought from them, same order) They did not fit as they were for the larger diameter hole than my trailer rim. They did not sell the other size for some reason. Returned no problem. Went to the local autoparts store and they had metal stems in prepackaged container that had the rubber bushing that allowed them to fit either size rim hole.

Bottom line if you get the metal stems that have both size bushings then you are good if not make certain you know which is which.

**** Get both sizes & return the ones you dont need, ask if return is an option.

You might be right, forgot to mention I only replaced the front tire stems. I haven't looked at the back ones yet but I didn't think they looked different.

The ones I used on the front I was able to pull out the core and add antifreeze to them w/out a problem. If the holes are the same size, I'll just be using the same one on the back too.
