Ford 2000 Generator 2 electric connections or 1?

Picture one. Where does that white wire shooting off the upper right connect to. Mine is hanging loose.

I read the thread from the beginning. I believe the generator NKVT bought had two terminals. You can see a white plastic thing sticking out from the back on picture #2, where the field terminal is. Like this: Lucas C40T Reproduction Dynamo

Anyhow, just curious, the Englishmen say dynamo when they mean a DC generator, Americans say generator. What does dynamo mean in American english?

Still got full snow cover-amazing for mid March. Just got back from E NC last night. It was 26 in New Bern Friday morning. Winter just won't let go. Forecast lows in the teens here early next week. Not gonna be many March oats planted in the Northeast this year.
