First Tractor Purchase

First time Tractor by netter
Hi there,
I am in Tasmania and we are starting a small Vineyard and am having trouble finding a reasonably priced small second hand tractor.
I have found a Case Maxxfarm 60 new for $34,000. Is this reasonable? Is the Case a good product? Should I persist and look for better value in a second hand tractor.
There seems to be some reasonable second hand tractors on the Mainland for sale, Is it easy to have them transported to Tassie?
A lot of questions I know!

How many acres of vineyard? Is this used tractor you seek to be solely for vineyard work? I see you have some type of New Holland tractor. What model? Is this your general purpose tractor? Regardless, $34K is a lot for a used vineyard tractor. $10K would buy you what you need here in the U.S. I have no idea what used tractors sell for Down Under. Educate us.

The Vineyard will be about 12 acres and the tractor will mainly be used for spraying, slashing and fertilizer spreading.
I require a 60hp tractor as most 5' slashers and the jet mist sprayers I will use require at least 40 hp at the PTO.
It seams that the smaller compact tractors in Australia 40-60 HP cost as much as the standard larger tractors at 100 HP
Unfortunately I cannot use a larger tractor as I am restricted with overall width (1800mm max) to fit between vine rows and there are few second hand smaller tractors available as they are snapped up super quick.
I maybe stuck between a rock and a hard place!

CT6040 - You're not between a rock and hard place. I have 5 acres with 10 planned. Last year I purchased a Landini Mistral(50hp) for $12,000 with 350 hrs. It has mfwd, 3scvs, creeper gears and overall 54 inch width. Depending on availability and support there are Landini Mistrals & Rexs, the equivalent McCormicks, JD 3720s & 5xxxN series, Deutz-Fahr Agrokids & Agroplus F/S/Vs, equivalent SAMEs & Lamborghinis, New Holland F/V orchard/vyd series, Kubota narrow, Claas orchard/vyd, Fendt orchard/vyd($$$$), and the Antonio Carraros that will fit your bill.....Gary
