Their bite ain't what it use to be either. Now a days they just need minimal supervision. They can be domesticated, but is the effort worth the end product?

He doesn't need to cross the street, he can fire up his tractor and go anywhere he wants, just not very fast........but his tractor can't even haul all his hoses. Someone just needs to make sure he comes home before dark.

Sure was a short spring!!! Not a drop of any form of precipitation ... Winds are strong and it's cold ... Tractor time today .. Putting out lime BUT it may be to windy!!

Remember the last time they balanced the budget this way and the tremendous necessary cost of rebuilding in a time of crisis.

They are talking about including it from what I heard the news say'n yesterday!!

Ron, how soon they forget. They interviewed the ex defense fella who was in office the day the WT centers where attacked, said he was "trebling" because he had in his hands, a troop/spending reduction/drawdown plan to ready to be put before congress. I think this is primarily a "liberal" idea?

You deserve every penny.
Most folks don't realize that your retirement is just long overdo back pay differential.

I'm sure you worked alongside civil service and contractors during your career that were making many times what you made and they had less responsibility. If you consider how inflation has devalued the money you receive now compared to what you could have done with it back then had you earned a comparable rate, it sure isn't sugar.
With an all volunteer force now, many of whom have been highly trained in very specialized technology, the loss of manufacturing facilities in this country, and the lack of jobs in general, this move is going to be a triple whammy on our military might and our civilian workforce problems.
There is no doubt that certain weapon systems are built, and thank God, become obsolete before they are ever put into a crisis situation, but that is a small price to pay for the kind of freedom we still enjoy compared to many places in the world.

Where do you think pilots learned it? There were Fleet Sailors long before there were 90 day wonder pilots.
Come to think of it I thinke we taught the Marines too.
