Today at the New York farm show I met with an LS manager to express my displeasure about not being able to order the Buddy/observer seat for the LS P series tractor. It is in my owners manual, the mounting holes are there but I had been told for liability reasons they wouldn't sell the seat.

To my surprise he said they were going to start to sell it. He called the factory from the show and ordered it on the spot! LS faxed a disclaimer of liability to my dealer which I signed on my way home and I was told the seat was on the way. Sweet! I'll post pictures when it arrives.

That's interesting, I wonder if they have them for the 4041 & 4047 ?

A buddy seat would be great, my grandson would love that.

I can't imagine there'd be any room in the 41/47 ... xr46, etc... it's tight enough in there as it is. Unfortunately ...

Well the seat showed up today and despite the snow and 10 degree temperature I got it installed.

There were 4 little dimples on the fender where I figured the holes would be but when I cut the vinyl and drilled out the plastic there was no hole! After the panic subsided I located the hole about 1/2" down and 3/4" to the left of the dimples. Whew! Thank god the bracket covered up this "exploratory" surgery and the next three holes went fine. The seat cost about $250.

Also while at the dealership when I was picking up the Buddy seat I was going through their parts catalog. On the left side of the drivers seat there is a plug and was trying to figure out what it went to. Lo and behold I saw there was an accessory box that mounts on the inside of the cab. At first I thought it was a toolbox of sorts but upon further examination it's a 12v REFRIGERATOR!!!

Looks like it's the perfect size for a 6-pack of soda! Well my dealer checked and said it was in stock so we ordered that up pronto! Life is good!! I'll post pictures when it arrives.

Very nice. So does it flip up towards the fender when not in use?
