Occasionally, I'll go after a deadfall.

But usually, I get an 8 cord load of tree length delivered

Then I browbeat my daughter and grandkids into helping me split it.

And my Brother-in-Law and I stack a year's supply undercover.

But I try to stay a year ahead so as to have plenty of seasoned wood.

And I'm enjoying it right now! :dance1: :thumbsup: :laughing:

Guesseral;

PH Paul I LOVE your tractor. Anything with articulation and BIG equal sized tires turns me on. I saw the JD literature when they went on that tangent, but never thought it would look so Horny in REAL life!

That tire size beats a Steiner all to hel!

The ONLY thing that matters in Rubber Tired Equipment is:

TIRE SIZE, TIRE SIZE, TIRE SIZE!

Thanks! It doesn't have a lot of ground clearance, but with the articulation you just run a wheel over anything you can't straddle.

With the 9 speed and the locking front differential, it's a beast. That little 20 HP one-lunger diesel just keeps donking away.

Not quite a tractor. But it fits in the woods better than the L series. The dogs appreciate the hard work.

The dog up above looks nice and comfy in front of that stove.

I see on this thread that there is a lot of what looks like nice wood where the most practical use for it is firewood. Seems to bad. But I guess there is no real shortage of saw logs right now anyway. I burn junk like this old maple because I have so much of it around.

The ongoing woodpile. Couple of years back, and still splitting to keep the missus warm.

No tractor picture but the tractor did have to haul it all to a different location, that counts right!010.JPG011.JPG012.JPG013.JPG014.JPG015.JPG016.JPG017.JPG

This started out as 13 tri-axle loads, not sure how much was left when we took the pictures because I had to move it all.
The first picture is on one of the piles I already moved. It's mostly all popular but for an outside wood burner it is great.
