MX5100 at work

Here's a couple bad pics from plowing snow today. It was the maiden voyage for the plow. It's an 8 ft meyer c8 that I welded up a ssqa mount for. Needs new cylinders so I'm just angling in manually for now. Seems to work well. I need front chains to keep the front end planted though.

I'd probably have the bh92 kubota backhoe if money weren't an issue but man are they expensive. I can buy a usable full size backhoe for that money. Plus it's just to easy for me to borrow a full size backhoe or excavator.

I know, but your own on an MX5100 is so handy and has so many good things going for it. I know you can borrow one but nothing beats having your own so my vote is to do whatever it takes to buy what you really want. Just get a second job for a while or sell something or whatever it takes.

Absolutely no question of the versatility. I guess what I'm saying is at this point in time there's other things I want more...like a heated shop to work on my stuff in the winter. But I'll never say never to a backhoe attachment!

Don't you just love these mx's? I'm thinking about a backhoe for mine, have you considered one?

Which grapple is that you have there? I like the shape of those lower tines. We don't have much wood, brush, or debris... I'm trying to find someone who makes one that has the lower times built more for separating rocks from gravel & sand as I push forwards through the pile. For our dirt it would need to have about a 4" spacing between tines. Also it needs to NOT have a cross bar in the front. So far I haven't found one made like that though.
Hey, by the time you get an MX5100, loader, and backhoe together how close does that come to a M59?
