Thanks for the pics. Is this supposed to be a new tractor? If it is new, then what is their asking price on it? And if not, how many hours and what is the price? Yes,it sure looks like a Mitsubishi.

The dealer(Allied) located here in Ohio claims they are new. This one was purchased new from the dealer and only has 13 hrs on it. Asking $8400.00, I think they will come down some but want to make sure I can get parts and service if need be.

The thing looks new to me but it does have some oil drips so I was concerned about that. Its a really nice looking unit but I need more info before I do anything!

I wonder if it is a reconditioned tractor that they are calling new. The style of it looks like the Mitsubishis made in the eighties. There is no way they could sell a new machine with only 13 hrs and a FEL for that kind of money.

Same sheet metal as the older Mitsubishi's.
I'd run........ /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
The one thing I saw was a folding ROPS. Did the old Mitsu's have one?
I've seen the ones that Allied sold in Feb of this yeat at a show, and they looked nothing like that.
The attached photo is what I saw this past Feb. thanks to Brent Pepper

Looks like a Mitsubishi to me too. Check out the photo attached . Look at the sheet metal. Look at the "grill". Look at the horizontal slots at the rear of the hood. Imagine this in red. Something ain't right with this being a "new" tractor. The shifter configuration looks very similar to the Mitsu 372 I own.

Here is my theory. A few years ago I saw what I thought was a new Mitsubishi at the National Farm Machinary Show in Louisville KY. The vender explained to me that it was built by a company in India. I don't remember the name but it was not Mahindra. He explained that this company had bought the tooling from Mitsubishi and they were building tractors using that tooling. The tractor I saw was kind of a tan color and not red. The tractor I saw had the quality control of the Chinese tractors. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif There are a couple things I noticed about the tractor in the pictures. There is a folding ROPS. That is not standard equipment for a grey Mitsubishi of that vintage. Also I noticed what appeared to be an air filter mounted outside of the hood. Mitsubishis of that size and year model have always had them mounted under the hood.

There should be some kind of identification on the engine. An engine model would help identify it.

My circa 1991 "Case 235", built by Mitsubishi, has a folding ROPS. The tranny and controls look very similar. The fenders are nearly the same, but the grill is very different.
Maybe it is new, with retro styling. Yea, that's it.

Pic Posted By Alvanko Pg.2 is the actual picture of a tractor I purchased out of Texas on ebay. It is a Mitsubishi Grey Market MT1601D. They had repainted the tractor and it came with a 4' Tiller, Iv'e been using it for bout 10 years now. It is the same tractor just a little differant design. The Origianl Img. Could be a Case 234. 235, 236. Case tractors had the ROPS which was the law for any tractors sold in the US, Mitsubishi had built these models for case. The pic posted by alvanko has a 3 speed PTO which is nice. It will really dig the dirt, That is pretty much what they designed them for tilling rice fields. This came with Rice Tires Which are twice as aggressive as AG tires. I beleave you can still order these tires for a reasonable price from Millersberg Tire in Millersberg Ohio. I have all new tires on this tractor now and only cost me 500 total.

If you know of a supplier that has a ROPS for the MT1601D or Case 234, or 235 I need 1 for my MT1601D Let me know. Like to stay under 200
Maybe one of these MT-180's will work.
