new here and a to me Omc Mustang 440 loader

Hello, I'm tom, just found your website looking around for operating information on a omc mustang 440 with a Wisconsin engine I just bought
it has a couple issues, needs a ring gear on flywheel, has a leak in one steel line up front, and the belt that needs replaced badly, it also does not stop when the levers are in the "neutral" position,
so I look forward to doing some searching about and learning some more about this little loader

Some info here that may help in finding information & parts. OMC (Owatonna Manufacturing Co.) built skid-loaders for a number of years for john Deere. If your 440 has 2 steering levers (left & right) then it is clutch controlled with variable speed belt driven, exactly the same as a JD24. If your 440 has single lever T bar control it is hydrostatic drive and is same as a JD24A with exception of the engine. JD had OMC build the JD machines with liquid cooled Continental engines but everything else on machines is identical.

been working on it as much as I can, new drive belt is on, one hydraulic leak repaired in a metal line, right side clutches are adjusted, need to adjust the chainsm but flywheel was a complete failure today, could not get it off...
