I would love to decorate the inside of my barn like that, but my boss probly wouldn't be too pleased, but maybe I'll run it by her and see what she thinks.

Now to return to grievances, I hate the long nights and short days of winter, in addition to the frigid temps and drearily overcast days of upstate NY in winter.
(Before you comment, my spouse is held here by the need to provide care for her parents, and I'm held here by her...)

I also hate the transitions between the sloppy slush of brief thaws to the slick ice of long freezes...

But I love TBN for letting me vent that...

Same here, rotten weather and little sunshine makes for a long Winter. The whole garage is painted like a Caribbean beach scene complete with tiki bar.

Anywho not to jack but is oogling like googling? Do you love her tractor?

To paraphrase George Carlin, I hate people (morons)who drive in front of me so dang ridiculously slowly at the first sight of any frozen precipitation in the air, much less on the ground... AND the maniacs behind me who won't get off my 6 no matter that there is a white-out in progress amid roads so covered in snow or worse freezing slush that both stopping and starting are dicey.

Don't even get me started on the plow truck's bosses having sent them out to salt before a snow event, despite temps predicted to be below the freezing point of saltwater, causing the freezing slush in the first place.

Hi Fred,

I love your place!

To air another grievance, drinking tokillya makes me an angry drunk, while it made my ex-wife's clothes fall off, which is why both the reason I married her and eventually divorced her.

She should've stayed away from the tokillya while alone with my sister's ex-husband, which is why he is my sister's ex too.

It's currently 16 F here with windchills running at -7 F (see previously posted weather-related grievance) so we really appreciate the tropical feel of your place.

Thank goodness the days are getting longer! I get tired of leaving in the dark, then trying to get things done here in the dark when I get home. Yes, I need long, warm days, with shorts, a tank top and even those pigtails!

Funny, how those little piddly things like work (whether paid or for maintaining or improving your property) can take you away from the keyboard and screen...

Yes, yes, usually just as the dark despair gets maximal, my only saving graces are the lengthening of the days and the rare (in cloudy overcast upstate NY) bright sunny days that pop up in mid-winter.

Keep smiling, it lights up your face, and it takes less work than the alternative.

Plus studies show that just using your smile muscles causes positive feedback into your brain, stimulating your happiness centers, which makes YOU feel better too.

I do tend to keep smiling. I've heard before that it takes more muscles to frown, than to smile, and I just don't have the energy to frown! It is harder in the short, cold days, but I get lazy and smile again! Besides, it increases my face value!

And modesty has nothing to do with my comments. I see those photos and realize that I am over 20! When one thinks about being 29 on their next birthday, reality sets in! :shocked:
