Are these dependable tractors? Or is JD worth the extra &?

I'd imagine these are just the Tier 4 R series (RX?) from LS re-branded as CASE/IH.

If so, generally they are considered great tractors.

JD value would depend on your affinity towards green & yellow paint

You're going to find mostly SCUT and CUT tractor owners on this forum with some utility tractors thrown in so not a lot of help in your size range. I have a friend who buys old I-H tractors and swaps parts around to make working ones. I asked him why he doesn't get into Magnums. He said they are too reliable so he can never get good deals to make working tractors out of junkers. I have seen the Case model of a MX285 with front duals and rear triples with envy. If you go to the large ag tractor forum here you might get more advice.

MX 120 is the standard loader chore tractor in this area , Often make more than equivalent JD's on auctions . I am looking for one right now

The MX series are very good tractors and a good match for anything JD offers. They are also growing in my area ..... even with the long time JD guys.
