Consider exchange rate his was roughly $24k US. Still a smoking deal but lots of variable considering two different geographic regions.

My dealer sells mainly open station CK's. This DK40 was a test for him that he says "failed miserably". So I believe I was the recipient of an opportunity. He had this tractor on his lot from May 2012 til April 2013.

Worked out well for you.

Well, I got a cab model, and I dont know the price difference to the open station model. However, Mine was $25,375 with free loader, 2nd remote, centre hook welded on bucket and all the filters for my first 50 hr change.

Heck of a deal. Ive been quoted 23500 for DK45 HST, FEL, R4 open cab.

Does anyone know how much longer the DK40SE will be available? My dealer said that the NX series (tier 4) will be replacing the DK series and that they will be out of DK's very soon. He also said that the CK will remain interim tier 4 until the 2015 model year (besides the CK2510).

Can anyone confirm this, or is he just trying to push the sale by saying that the DK40 will not be available and that I need to purchase very soon.

No B/S, get um before they are gone.

Right now I don't see a NX in the 45hp range without a cab, at least on the Kioti site. Only the 60hp has the ROPS option.

Dealer was thinking that the CK series will have a 40hp unit next year to fill the 40 hp gap between the current CK35 and the new NX 4510.

In my opinion if you like the DK40se, you should buy one now while it is available. I suspect they will not be available soon. It is a good tractor at a good price. All of the new tier 4 tractors are costing a bit more.

I am going to test drive and look over a Kubota L3800 to see how it compares.
I really wish that Kioti still had the DK35. Something between the CK35 and DK 40 would be perfect.
I have a 1/2 ton truck and a 7000 capacity trailer. The DK 40 with loader will be pushing the trailer.
the truck is rated for 9000lb trailer. The trailer bed probably weighs at least 1500, so that leaves me with a safe capacity of 5500lbs.

Will just be using the tractor on my 14 acres but would be nice to be able to haul it.
The CK tractor concerns me with the 1100lb ,or so, lift at the fel pins.

Would like to get some forks and I know that quickly downgrades the loader specs as I move out from the pins

sorry I got the last DK35se..:) It is a great tractor. But it doesn't weigh much less than a DK40se.. Just a couple of hundred pounds. The CK loader and the Kubota loader on the L3800 are about the same. The DK40se is over twice the lift capacity of either of them. Or more than both of them put together if you want to look at it that way. I don't know what you want to lift with the forks, but I used 42 inch SSQA forks with my old Kubota L3400hst, the model just before the L3800hst and the forks were very useful, You have maybe 900 lbs of lift. Still a bunch more than I can throw up:) The DK40se is just another class up of tractor in specs and features. But if you need to lift 2000 lbs or more with your forks, you will need the DK40se.

I second k0ua's point. The DK40 is not much heavier than the DK35. The CK is clearly lighter than either. However, if you are concerned about the lift capacity of the KL130B, then consider getting a Woods loader for the CK. Excellent loader with as I recall something in the range of 1400-1500lb lift.

I would really like to go with the dk40 Hst w R4 tires.
If I take the loader off, do you think I could pull a 72" or 84" finish mower and not do to much damage to the yard?

Just wondering if something of this weight could be used for grass. I have a Dixie Chopper but my back is getting worse every year. The Dixie is fast but it can really beat up my back. Thought a finish mower on a large tractor would be smoother in the yard. I used to mow with my L2550, but it is much lighter and 2wd. Maybe I should keep the L2550 for grass. The plan is to sell it.

Thinking of the loader again. Does anyone know the weight of the Dk40 loader with bucket? I saw loader weight for the Ck buy did not see a weight for the DK in the sales flier.

I don't know the exact weight but something between 750-1000 lbs without the bucket sounds right. Maybe another 250 or 300 for the bucket.
