Merry Christmas everyone !! Lou .. Happy birthday and anniversary !!! Prayers for your wife as well !!

The house was packed last night with kids, grand kids .. Everyone had a time !

Second round this afternoon with friends ... One of them gave me a Crown Royal gift set Saturday night after the auction .. The same set I got for him... Yesterday I went to the liquor store and got two of those little taster bottles of Crown ... This evening I'm going to present him and his wife each one .. Then later bring out the gift set !!

Well I am happy.. it my birthday,, 67 today.. my wife had a small car accident at walmart parking lot.. but a major heart attach yesterday.. Life Flight to Hermann Hospital,, they gave her CPR at the accident,, broke her ribs,, but they got her heart beating again.. They found the problem this afternoon at Hermann and fixed it.. A long story short maybe another 48 years of marriage.. we will be married 48 years on the 31st of this month.. yep I am drunk but she okay.. Lou

Sounds as if what was almost a very sad Christmas and birthday turned into a Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday after all. I'm glad for you. Our 48th anniversary won't be until April.

Lou, I'm so sorry that you wife has to spend Christmas in the hospital, but so glad she has pulled through. She is in one of the best places for treatment. It's not the birthday or Christmas present you wanted, but the end result is far better than any other gift you could have had. May God bless your wife and bring her health back soon.

I think I forgot to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY. The Htown Zoo might be closed today. With the zoo being on the south end of Herman Park, near the hospital, the reflecting pond with all the ducks is on the north end of the park, near the Sam Houston statue on his horse. The pond is also near the Japanese gardens. Right north of the pond and statue is the Museum of natural science.

I spent a few hours watching ducks in this pond while waiting on my dermatologist's office to open.

Thanks one and all.. she is doing a lot better,, on a scale of zero being dead,, which she was courting to EMT on their arrival,, and ten being the superwoman.. she at a two.. maybe going to three tomorrow,, they will be moving her to the second level of ICU which is good.. She may have her on room by this week end.. For those that don't know.. she is a amputee,, she lost her left leg in 1992 to a blood clog.. hasn't slow her down much..

I left the hospital around five tonight after wishing her the best,, been there all day,, told the children to stay home and enjoy Christmas with their family.. there was twenty two children/grandchildren/greatgrandchildren/dauther in laws, son in law,, and friends of her from the gym that show up around five.. but only two at a time can visit her in the icu.. and the way my family likes to talk it maybe four hour wait.. that would be on the short side and because someone missed their turn.:laughing:. I wish everybody Christmas was as happy as mine was at end of today..Now a cold beer a hot bath and new day.. Lou

Well if the Zoo is closed Lou should visit the Cullen Sculpture Garden just across Main St. It's open 9am-10pm and free admission. Bet he could get some inspiration from some of the exhibits there. It's a really nice place to visit.

All that have gave Betty and I your wishes and prayers thank you so much and the ones that didn't but felt the pain thank you too,, it is working,, they call her the miracle woman,, Right now looks like a 100% recover..

I did take some advice and took a walk in Hermann park and found a place to set,, watched a homeless man smile and wave at the children riding the small train,, some waved back others didn’t because the parents turned their head.. Is that what we become,, don't let them see the real world,, But let them play game where they can kill by pushing a button on a computer and it's looks real.. But I am no better,, I walk by the homeless and act like they are not there.. I guess some have a choice and some don't but they are homeless just the same.. My wife had a major heart attack and a lot of good people rush to her aid and saved her,, I wonder if they would for the homeless man.. For some reason I feel they would.. Would you,, would I?.. Lou

So glad to get the wonderful update, Lou! Prayers will continue, as well as prayers of thanksgiving, for the progress made.

I would hope that most of us would help the homeless, but you do get us pondering.
