Hi people,
I introduce myself, Bernard, 59, and I live in the Gers, France. A very agricultural area. I bought an old farmhouse that I restore as I can with the help of an old backhoe Massey Ferguson 50B. It is looking for information about him that I came here.
I hope to find the help I need, even if I am not a great help to you because the mechanism is not really my specialty.
Sincerely,
Bernard.

IMG_0020.jpgHi everyone! I did not expect this welcome!
Well, then I take this opportunity to present you the problem I encounter. I would open the "slew motor" of the backhoe and I have the schema and procedure for the Dowty engine. Mine is a Cessna engine and I desperately seek this information, exploded view and method of disassembly.
I hope to find this information from you, guys, because here no mechanical know this model bought in Belgium (and imported from England, I think).

Nice day to everyone..

Hi Bernard - Welcome!

I think there may be somewhat of a language problem here .... are you looking for the schematic - or diagram - for a Cessna brand hydraulic motor?

The picture you posted looks like a motor ( not the same as an engine - but the terms get used interchangeably by a lot of people).

Are there any part numbers on the item? A manufacturer's ID tag? Some more info might help track down the information.

Actually it looks like a rotary swing cylinder off of a MF backhoe.

Edit: I see in the OPs original post, he does have a Massey Ferguson backhoe.
So that's doubtless what it is.

Edit again: It's very hard to find parts (or even diagrams) for those old Cessna cylinders in the USA. I can't imagine how rare they probably are in France. I used to have a shop manual for these once upon a time; I'll see if I still have it.

Rider - wasn't Cessna Hydraulics acquired by Eaton about 20 years ago? Back in the old days we used Cessna hydraulics (pumps, cylinders, motors) on our combines. When I moved on to Caterpillar and had a hydraulic pump challenge I had purchasing contact our Eaton rep who showed up with an Eaton pump I recognized from my Gleaner days. The rep said they bought the Cessna hydraulic line and moved it from the Cessna plant in Wichita to the Eaton plant in Minneapolis. We didn't use anything like this slew cylinder though so I may be way off base with the Cessna- Eaton relationship, but there may be a possible link for help.

I did some searching around for Cessna hydraulics and found numerous references to Eaton - so yeah, it looks like they were swallowed by Eaton at some point in time.

If he's searching for parts starting with someobody who deals in Eaton products is probably a good place to start.
