Hello,
I am new here and a new land owner and I will be needing a tractor soon. I feel LS tractors are about the best bang for the buck but so far I am trying to decide which one I want. As far as prices go, if I can prove to myself that the R3039 is worth the extra $$$ I will go that route. The prices I got from the dealers around me are putting the R3039 around $2k higher than the G3038, (does that sound right?) Both machines have respectable stats on paper and obviously the R3039 has slightly better stats on most of the important stuff. I can form my own opinions on comparison and selection but I would like to hear why you would pick one over the other.
I am not needing any particular option on either of these tractors and will probably go with the hydro trans. FEL work will be mild and the ground is mostly flat and soft unless I dig down a few feet to red clay. I will be mowing around 6ac with a 5-6 ft rotary or finish mower and don't plan to let it grow up high. Other typical work might be some small tree/brush clearing, basic box blading, plowing, raking etc, nothing extensive or difficult.
So what do you guys think, I know both tractors are enough but which one do you like and why?
