Help me stop trespassers/poachers: Onramental grass seed sources

I just checked the NC state seedling catalog which has Loblolly pines at $56-58 per 1,000 and they are now selling containerized Loblolly and Longleaf pine for $54 for 334 seedlings. I might have to try the containerized seedlings which are supposed to have higher success rates.

Dan I have had luck also putting in a few t posts and running fishing line around the trees I want to save. I stagger the tposts and hang flagging on the fishing line. The deer keep away from it. I have 20 hazelnuts growing this way and all are doing great. We have a lot of deer pressure too. But for a large scale area tubex tubes not the bluex (these are the cheaper recycled xray film ones) are what we used.

The tposts and fishing line is a good idea I will have to try.
