Kubota L2800
I have a 2005 L2800 with Industrial tires, (R4's I think they are called) can I widen my wheel base. It seems to me that the manual states it can only be done with the AG tires but I don't understand why.. Seems like it is a matter of unbolting the wheels and spinning the disc behind them to a wider stance and rebolting.... Will this work with my tires???

Bump, still looking for answer to this one!

Wow, you're a patient man to wait 2 years to bump a question.
I don't know your tractor, but if the disc can be spun around, you should still be w/i spec of your tractor's capabilities. After 2 years, I'd just go ahead and try it. The other option might be to swap the wheels from one side to the other. I've read here about 4 different settings between the cup of the disc and the position on the rim (mounting is closer to one side than the other). Whether that fits your tractor or not, I cannot say, but if you need it wider, I'd jack it up and give it a shot.

2 years!

Most of the R-4 rims on these smaller tractor are a one piece rim. Is yours this way? Only the AG style two piece rim and disk can be adjusted in and out. Another reason to like AG tires...

The dish on the R4's is already close to the inside and can not be reversed. This gives the L2800 a fairly wide stance. You should be able to get some spacers, but I believe that it is not recommended with the R4's on this tractor.

what tires are on it doesn't matter its what wheels are. R4 will on same wheel as ag tire will.

R-4s on the smaller Kubotas come with a one piece rim. Some of the larger models have the two piece rim with R-4s.

Thanks for the input, I will take a look and see if I have the one piece wheels or not. 2 years, haha yeah I was going through my old post and noticed I never got an answer to this one. Hasn't been a big deal but I recently got a backhoe attachment and noticed it making things a little more top heavy so thought I would readdress this. My B7500 had widening options with pins in the axle stubs but didn't see how this one would do it. Thanks again.

I have reversed the rears on my 2550 as I have the two piece rims. If your tires are loaded I recommend you have a second tractor with a loader to work the tire lest you spend the rest of your life under it. :).

I have a L3700 (same frame as the 2800) and the wheels are one piece. Also what kind of backhoe did you get?

I've an M4700. Running unloaded R1 14.9-28's. I need to narrow the stance so it will fit on the trailer better.

How difficult is it to swap tires with one old guy (me) and one 30 yr old guy (my son)? That's assuming I can loosen the bolts.

If you have a backhoe it is easy but if the tires are loaded they can be way heavier than they look. If you soak the bolts with penetrating oil and use a good fitting impact they come apart pretty easily. I would however recommend having new nuts and bolts on hand if you have to ruin the originals getting them off.

I got a Woods 650, it had set in a friends field for several years. I had to have all the cylinders rebuilt but today I played with it for about 6 hours digging up a few small trees and one really large stump. Worked like a champ so far. I think it needs a few more minor repairs but I plan on keeping it in the dry so should last me a long time. Price was right, FREEE.. other than what it has cost me in parts and repairs so far. I think I have about $500.00 bucks in it right now.
