Walker and Drew, love those lake pics.

Almost 30 years ago, wife and I honeymooned in Poconos, one of those places with heart shaped stuff etc, not nearly as scenic, but nice.

Sophie is often my backup guide, especially at Walmart, she is a master of standing where I can't see her. LOL

Roy, I have a real bad old stereo problem. When I see one at the thrift store, it just calls out to me. Here is one I bought on Tuesday. I started a thread if you want to see how bad a problem I have. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/projects/292251-so-i-bought-20-year.html

Mine isn't as nice or as powerful as a Fisher. This unit is an MCS, which was marketed by J.C. Penney. It's my understanding (researched on line) that Panasonic and Technics were the manufacturers. Good quality sound, but not exceptional...of course, my hearing isn't as good (with some frequencies) as it once was.

I'm no stereo or electronics expert by far...but sometimes the scratchy sound can result from dust and such on the switches and controls.You can reduce or eliminate the scratchiness by exercising the switches (with the power off...especially with the volume controls!).

Good luck getting your stereo set up and up to speed!

Good afternoon all. 64F at the start and have hit the forecast high of 84F and sunny with light breeze. Ended up getting stuff ready for garage sale starting tomorrow. Want to get back on boat, but not until I have gotten my volume of stuff decreased
