Thanks, txdon. Great advice.
I'm doing more than all the right things but sometimes I add frosted mini-wheats to my cheerios. Other than that, no sugar.

Sixdogs, finally found the answer, of all places on page 56 of October 2013 Readers Digest. In the article by Joel K. Kahn MD
"Three Ways to Attack your Hear Risk
1. Get the right test.......
2. Avoid the three D's: Delay, Denial, and Death.....
3. Watch your blood sugar - Contrary to what most of my patients think, not all "bad" LDL cholesterol is equally harmful. The latest science shows it is more damaging when it is modified by oxygen or glucose. Test that directly measure these modified LDLs aren't widely available, but doctors can follow this simple secrete to get an estimate: The higher your blood sugar, the higher your modified LDL cholesterol levels ........"

Kahn is a cardiologist that has seen the effects of lifestyle change and says: "...most people have no idea that 75% of heart disease can be stopped by decisions they make with forks and spoons, gym shoes and weights and smoking or not."

Kyle - Thought about tubing the tire? I've gotten years of service by using tubes, from tires that would otherwise have been difficult/impossible to repair.

Yes, that'll be my last resort. Thanks! Love your Goldens. Wish I had a couple.

Good morning all. 61F this morning going to 74F and sunny. Have some rain in the forecast next week, man it is dry here. Wife got the blinds replaced this morning so back to the blinds after watering. Gotta mow the sod soon, rest of yard is toast.

Good morning. 1045, sunny, 85* with 69% humidity. Forecast is for a high of 95, 20% chance of rain, but 100% chance of love bug clouds. {washed the car yesterday, and it is staying in the shed until that comes down to 0%}

Thanks everyone on the news updates. {fire, flood and long sugar spill} I haven't watch TV news in six years, so I depend on word of mouth {or text} to hear what is going on. My sister lived in Co for thirty years. She started out in Longmont and Boulder, then about twenty five years at the Springs. My niece and her son and daughter live in the Denver 'burbs. Called Sister and she said all was well with them, but her Ex's {my niece's daddy} house was real close to the flooding.

Riptides, those hay photos look good. I saw the guys who lease my hayfield come by with two trailers of square bales as I was washing the car and truck yesterday.

Debating on using ether or hairspray to "blow" it on. Any words to the wise? I need this done so I can get to mowing and weed eating.

Kyle

Kyle, does that tire have a removable center hub? If so, the outer wheel may be cheap enough that it's not worth saving. Is this for a John Deere? Here's a rim on eBay for $105, but not for a John Deere.

69F, another .25 inches since midnight, overcast

Sad night in Colorado and NJ. Prayers for all.

The Dollies are from HF. They were on sale last winter for cheaper than I could buy just the casters at HD. They could be more substantial, but for the most part will only move from where parked to the doorway and back a few times a year. Not really concerned about the floor, too late. Although I waited 3 days after painting, the scag still managed to leave tire prints :)

Tiller is a Kioti. Bought it with my CK30 in 2005. Don't recall the weight, 400 maybe. It is getting lighter though. A real shame how badly it is rusting. I figure I'll have some major maintainence soon :(

Yep, 5C is the new iPhone model. I didn't plan to upgrade, but have been thinking how to improve my MIL's situation. When Apple announced the $99 price, I got my answer. Now, both wife and her Mom get a new phone and I bet next year I get encouraged to upgrade mine LOL. Mom is in NJ and should get 4G/LTE with her upgrade to the 5.

Have a great day.

Thanks Jim! By the grace of God, I got it aired up. I believe that letting it sit with a 2" yellow strap around it for a while is what did the trick. It warmed up and conformed enough to get the beads seated. Now I almost took a shot to the jaw when, after I aired it up to about 15 psi, I tried to loosen the strap. It took a couple of fist poundings to get the strap ratchet to release, but man when it did, I'm sure glad it popped off in the other direction. (Thank you Lord!).

Here is one similar to the one I just finished.
Ford New Holland Rear Wheel Rim 12" x 24 6 Loop RW12246 2000 3000 4000 5000 6000 | eBay

Good info to know. Deere website says $350, so yellow paint is expensive too. If this repair doesn't hold, I will go the wheel route. Man, tractor tires and wheels are pricey... sheesh.

If it's a 6-loop, I'd sure try the cheaper one first. Isn't the wheel 10-24 for the 11.2-24 tire? The 12-24 might be a bit wide to get your tire to seat the bead. Of course, that's a good excuse for ether and a match on the end of a long stick. Stand behind a tree and let-r-rip. Be prepared to air it up quickly because the warm air inside the tire cools quickly and sucks the bead right back off the rim.:(
