John Deere 8A Backhoe Attachment

I recently purchased a John Deere 870 4 wheel drive tractor. The manual states that it takes a John Deere 8A backhoe attachment. Is anyone familiar with this attachment or have information on the whereabouts of one? Are there other brands of backhoe attachments that will fit this tractor? Any information will be appreciated. Thanks.

You can keep an eye on Craigslist, Used Farm & Agricultural Equipment - John Deere MachineFinder and www.tractorhouse.com for an 8A backhoe, but don't get your hopes up.
There are a number of aftermarket builders who probably sell you something. Just ensure you get a backhoe with a subframe mount and you do NOT get more backhoe then the tractor can handle.
