Try making it in the new members forum (New Member Introductions) or a forum not in the "Other Forums" group (Other Forums).

You can only edit in a certain time frame.

If you posted recently, go to your post and select edit post.

It will call up your post for edit, then select delete, delete post, then delete.

That works for second posts in a thread and beyond, but not the first post.
