While I was bush hogging the other day I broke off one of the blades...
Needless to say the vibration in the hog was pretty bad...
I brought the tractor home and removed the blades without any issue at all...
Evidently someone else had replaced the blades at one time or another and the bolts were easy to remove with a 3/4 drive cheater bar and 1-3/4 socket...
The blades are in really bad shape...
I am going to replace all 4 but the bolts are in very good shape...
For those of you that have replaced your blades, did you use anti-seize on the bolts?
I have heard both pros and cons on this issue...
I am leaning toward putting it on the bolts during the re installation...
Any opinions would be appreciated...

Absolutely put never-seize on the bolt threads and bolt shank where it fits snugly in the blade bar.

Note: Sister sent me a link to a Hickory Record article about flood damaged roads, looks like a mess down there!

+1:thumbsup: I have been doing what RickB suggests, using nickel never-seize, for over 20yrs. I have had zero problems.
