Good Morning all.
The house looks like a bomb hit it, the motorhome is full of boxes, and we are off later this morning on our maiden voyage. For lack of a better name we refer to the
little motorhome as "the boat". Hope to have a quiet trip through the road construction on 95 around Phila, which never seems to finish. And then down into Delaware along the
main road on the shore side where the world starts clearing out of shopping malls and crazed six lane drivers. Slower Lower? Lower Slower? some term about the big change going from
North DE to the Southern part. NJ is the same way. Route 95 and its connectors are just plain ugly in this part of the country. The one pretty road goes along the lower Delaware River and at least you can see
water and an occasional tug or freighter going up or down. Otherwise Dupont really smells up the place. But they do pay the state bills for sure.
We have to drive to the local medical appliance place before we leave, and get a travel wheelchair for my wife. Her left leg has been a real problem to her and it looks like I'm going to be driving yet another four wheeler.
Sure wish the one I ordered online had come in on time, but renting one for a week is inexpensive. I suppose the later we leave the less traffic we'll hit and we are trying to get there after lunch, not before.
This is a perfect example of where I have to rethink all my training of "get there early", after forty years of appointments, and being retired and saying, well, so what if we get there at two instead of one.
Particularly if we are cruising on the boat.
taking the laptop with me, will report if we go under an eleven foot bridge. Always wanted a convertible! :dance1:
