John Deere 6420 Cab Tractor

I am looking at a used 2006 John Deere 6420 cab tractor. 850 hours with 640 self leveling loader. MFWD Still has plastic on the seat They are asking $62K It is 250 miles away, but I am thinking i need to go look at it.

Any feedback on the 6420 in general or the price?

You may want to find out a little more about it, like type of transmission, number of SCVs and the list goes on as to other options. Then check machinefinder.com, tractorhouse.com and fastline.com on the pricing. I would read the operators manual, then go and take a look at it.

I'll ask about the trans. Looks like a power quad reverser.

It's not hard to add a third rear SCV unless the loader is using valves at the rear, right hand side instead of a mid valve.
Power Quad and Reverser is my first choice. Left or Right hand Reverser? I prefer Left hand Reverser with a loader.
640 SL loader is a good loader.
Does it have radial tires? I have 18.4R 34 and 13.6R 24 on my 6415 which is the economy version of the 6420, also a 2006.

anyone that sits on the factory plastic that covers the seat for 7 years is ridiculous. you could always replace the seat for under 300 bucks if it gets ruined and that's nothing on a 90k dollar machine. sheesh

They must think it's still new in the package as long as the seat is still in plastic :laughing: It would be the first thing I'd remove

I talked to the guy. Seems like a nice enough guy. He got out of haying and sold their ranch, etc.
