Things that annoy me

I'm not one who easily gets ruffled, But I just got plain out mad today, This morning while taking the trash out to the street I noticed across the street where someone had Littered, so I thought I'd go get it and put it in our trash can, The closer I got I realized it looked to be a dirty diaper, so I turned around to go get a shovel, First I stopped into the house to pour another cup of coffee and then the wife tells me she wants to go check out a garage sale and ask would I go along with her,

As I pulled out the drive I pointed out how disgusting it was that someone through out a dirty diaper, she stated we'll have to get that up when we get back,
We were gone about 2 hours and when I came back I notice the church lawn had been cut and the diaper was gone, But not gone, It had been Blown to my side of the street at the edge of my mailbox,

Apparently they finished and all had left, I see different Folks from that Church volunteering their time to help around the grounds each week, so I cannot pin-point any one person,
I suppose who ever it was thought it was the "Christian thing to do"

As I stated, In the beginning it wasn't even on our side of the street but yet I WAS going to go get and remove it myself, but instead got side-tract, Now I know either one of us shouldn't have had to dealt with something like that, But Bad on him, and even double bad for the person who through it out there, even a cat has since enough to cover up it's own poop,

Sorry about the rant, I guess if ever were any one thing that upsets me the most , IS

and Yes Cig butts are on the list, Nobody here at my home smokes, But yet anyone who comes to visit smokes outdoors and throws their butts on the ground, Namely my SIL,

I got thinking about this thread today as. I followed a semi pulling a lowbed... with his left blinker on for about 10 miles. I thought about getting on the CB and reminding him; but decided that it was more my problem and a stupid thing to let bother me.

Kind of like the guy complaining about toilet paper being put on wrong... especially since he's the one who's backwards.

Do they not teach people how to use turn signals anymore? Some seem to think they are optional equipment, so they never get used

As has been said before, I don't know what is with the people in my area when it comes to moving over to the right lane. I'll tell you the right lane is like an express lane here. No one uses it and no one will move to it. Guess it was different when I took drivers Ed in the 60's...Oh ya, no drivers Ed anymore. Maybe that explains it.

This varies from state to state. Washington drivers are some of the worst. Not only do they refuse to move over, they are erratic. They will pass you at 80, then slow down to 55 when the road curves. Come on, folks, it's a FREEWAY! If you need to slow down on a curve, it will be marked. Where I live, about half the traffic is Californians heading for Washington or Washingtonians heading for California. Californians drive OK, they just put the hammer down and go, but Washington drivers all need a remedial driver's ed class.

I was in Walmart today and bought a new Fire Extinguisher.
The Cashier wanted to sell me a 2 year extended warranty.

I pointed out that it said it had a 10 year guarantee on the box.
So much for the extra extended warranty.

Fire extinguishers need to be serviced annually. The cheapies you buy with plastic nozzles can't be refilled, so toss them in the trash. The biggest problem is caking of the dry powder, and you can improve the life of the extinguisher by turning it upside down, whacking it with a rubber mallet, then shaking vigorously. A 10 year old extinguisher stands a good chance of being worthless if you have a fire.

Tossing trash on the road or on someones land does tick me off.

The land behind us was subdivided and they cleared off the property lines so a truck could easily drive down the line for some reason. I walk one of the lines that intersects our property and someone drove a tractor with a FEL or a truck almost to our property and dumped a bunch of trash. When I got to the road in the newly formed subdivision some had tossed really heavy floor jacks that they had ruined. The things were too heavy to throw in the woods, so they just tossed them to the side of the road for someone else to clean up. $%^&*()_

For years my county did not require as much as a sticker to take things to the dump. They only required a sticker a few years ago to keep people in the surrounding counties from using our collection centers. I forgot the exact percentage but after the stickers were required, trash collection dropped around 20%. The garbage collection center for us is right near the only three grocery stores within 20 miles or so. Every one has to go to those stores...

The idiots that threw out this trash spent more time illegally dumping than it would have cost them to take their stuff to the collection center. Just lazy unthinking a holes.

We have had stuff dumped on our place by so called neighbors. It was just yard waste they could easily have left on their place to rot instead of ours. Though someone dumped used kitty litter on our place twice. Lazy %^&*()_

Either this has gotten a LOT LOT worse in the last few years, or perhaps the county govts do not have the money to have it picked up. I suspect the former. Some places are just horrendous, people don't care, People just don't care

I suspect trash has decreased over the years. I don't remember, exactly but was looking at some 1950's photos the other day and the streets were full of litter. I couldn't remember it being that bad but multiple photos confirmed it. Maybe people littered in the city or town but not in the country?

Hit or miss depending on where I am.. Some intersections you just shouldn't pull out into and sit.
