Just curious, is that mud on the frame or rust? I'm sure it doesn't matter much down in SC but I wouldn't expect to see rust on anything that new.

I only check vehicle value using NADA. (National Auto Dealers Association)
They give wholesale and retail figures with listed options and mileage considerations.
What is the mileage on the truck?
Why would someone do tires, rims and the other accessories on a leased truck? How does that effect the lease if he stays with it?
Some leases have penalties for mileage and alterations.

Looks like NADA says $29,500 for this truck.

If he is leasing it, can it be sold? The deal sounds funny to me.

I think most leases can be bought out just about anytime? Not sure, never have leased a vehicle though, so I could be wrong.

I had the same question myself. I think it could be mud from what I could tell with the other pictures he sent. Didn't get a chance to talk with the seller last night to ask him.

I am at the point that anything around 20K is what I would pay for a new (to me) car. I have been able to find very low mileage, less than 5 year old vehicles for around that price or less that work for me. 30k, 40k, 50k, and 60k, cars and trucks are not worth it. my 5 year old vehicles last at least 5 years and holds its value pretty well. And if something did go wrong (which is does some times) repairs are much less that a 60K car payment.

I priced out a 2013 SL at about 33k and a 2500WT (regular cab) at a bit over 30k and that was MSRP

Same as I posted my buddy got his Super Crew 4x4 F150 5.0L for. He made the deal Saturday and picked it up Monday. Power everything, brake controller, back-up camera, ect.

That is rust on that frame rail . Makes you want to put a check in the mail . You would think there would be a bit more proofing on a new vehicle . Looks like it came off a trailer lot in Missouri .

Dang I didn't even enlarge the pic to look at it until I saw the comments about rust. Yeah run, don't walk away from that truck. I know the GM 900's had issues with premature rusting on the chrome bumpers but that frame is a big concern. No wonder he wants to get out of that truck. I see you don't live far from me either. I can help you find a good truck at a much better deal, just let me know what you're looking for and how much you want to spend. Tons of places around you and I to find good used trucks.

Google Laura GMC they have 2013(s) fairly loaded advertised at or below that price.

I would wonder about a 1/2 Ton with air bags, if hadn't been towing somethig with a heavy tongue weight.

Also aren't most boat trailers hydraulic surge brakes not electric?
