Hi,

I have a B1610 which although is 16hp has plenty of power for rotavating, mowing etc. It also has a lewis quick disconnect loader on it, worth its weight in gold! I bought it 4 yrs old (2004 model) its now only done 284 hours and is like new, i woud recommend it over the b1410 as it would give you slightly more pto hp.

HI,

According to the workshop manual the 1410 will do 15.15 km/h (9.5 miles per hour) and the 1610 16.15 km/h ( 10 mph) at max engine speed of 3000 rpm, and at the rated engine speed (I believe is around 2,700rpm) both do around 9 mph (14.71km/h). I believe this is because the 1610 has slightly larger tyres than the 1410. Dimensions of both are very similar the 1410 mm's smaller than the 1610, but apart from the engine, the gearbox and hydraulics are all the same.
The 1410 engine is a Kubota D622-D14 unit with PTO power of 8.1kW (11.0 PS) which i believe is around 10hp at the shaft. It has two ptos speeds, standard for most work being 540rpm for the equipment that you want to use. I only use the 1000rpm when fine finishing rotavating on the second pass, the first pass being done at 540 rpm. You should only use 1000 rpm if the equipment says it can be used at that speed, otherwise you risk severe damage due to the excessive vibration. I have a Kubota FL1000 rotavator which says that it can be used for light finishing work a that speed. Most agricultural small equipment is only rated for use at 540rpm.

The fuel tank is 2.9 galls and lasts a very long time, it only seems to sip fuel.

Easy to service yourself so really just the cost of parts if you can do the labour.

It is very maneuverable gets in small places, I like it because we have trees and it is low enough to get under them whereas my old ferguson t20 it was a struggle. My only complaint with mine is that because i have the loader on when it is loaded up the steering becomes heavy as there is no power steering, you shouldn't have that problem though! I have also got a set of turf tyres as well as the ag tyres as we have lots of grass.

hope this helps!

Hi mat yes ive had a old mf 35 and a old yanmar but have sold them to get something a bit newer and as its just a few acres im hoping that the 1410 will be fine as i have trees and small areas to cut and plough and rotavate around max 1 acre so im hoping the 1410 wil be ok and the only other things i use it for is a pto driven log splitter and saw bench and sometime go a around two miles on back road to farm for stuff.where do you get your filters from and what oil do you use? thanks Billy
