I would be curious about any feedback on the dealer network for LS tractors.

My Kioti dealer switched to LS after Kioti insisted he buy an unaffordable inventory. Business was so slow he quit the tractor business completely.

My LS dealer is about 40 miles away, another one was 80. Definitely less convenient than my Kioti dealer, who is 15 miles. Kubota, Deere & Cub are all within 5 miles.

But, I have a feeling that LS dealers will b increasing once their name gets out a bit more. My dealer has been selling LS for 15+ years (FarmTrac, Montana). He is very happy working with them.

Nice new tractor. Congrats!
Curious what 'Toy' you are using to trailer your LS? Is is 6 or 8 cyl? And what do you use for braking on the tandem axle trailer?
Thanks, enjoy.

2004 Sequoia 4.7L v8... not a powerhouse by any means (only 240hp/315tq)... but she does the job for now, and has been too good of a truck to get rid of (132k miles and running like a top). She gets a little soft in the rear, so I picked up a set of "Air Lift 1000" bags for the rear springs. They're not helping though, but that's because they're still sitting in the box in my barn  (haven't gotten around to installing them yet).

I'm using a Blackbird brake controller from "Valley Industries." Works great on the the trailer, inexpensive (less than $100 with a direct-plug harness for your "tow package" equipped truck), easy to install... if you've never used one and have trailer brakes, get a controller!!!

TCO,

Thanks for the info. I have an '011 Forerunner 6 cyl, and I tow a 27' dual axle boat trailer that had drums on both, with surge brakes. I'm in process of going to discs on all four. I believe the F-runner is equipped with tow pkg ready,(?) or something similar; is that what you mean by 'trailer brakes'?

Nice write up. Hope that LS works as good as it looks. What is the warranty?

Thanks, me too! 5 year (2 bumper to bumper, 3 additional powertrain).

I just mean that if you have trailer brakes (brakes on your trailer's axles) you definitely should take advantage of them and use a trailer-brake controller to activate the brakes. Most vehicles (some of the new trucks notwithstanding) don't come with an integrated factory controller, so you have to purchase one separately.

Well, a bitter/sweet day came this weekend. I had my Kioti listed on Craigslist and someone came and offered me the right price. I had basically told myself that if I could sell it for "X" amount, then I would have to do it. Luckily for me, Kioti's are gaining value (like I assume the LS line will) and I sold it for $10,800. Not bad considering 1 year and 220 hours ago I paid $11,800 (plus tax) for it

So, I'm now a 1-woman guy again! I still think Kioti makes a great tractor, and I'll keep up with the Forum to see what's new.

Anyhow, here's a goodbye pic for my CK20. She'll be missed, she performed very well for me and moved a LOT of dirt! Nothing bad to say about her...

You got a great price on that. It's always bittersweet to part with a friend.
