EL Wood i have wanted a backhoe for years but i just cannot justfy the price. i could do alot of work but the work is not something that's got to be done and aroud here a good used hoe is several thousand bucks so i keep dreamen

I know same here. I just can't justify one. I would use it occasionally around my property. And for the price of a BH, "occasional" doesn't cut it. Still, I always find myself looking at new and used ones. Guess I'll keep deamin too...

Around here guys charge 75 bucks and hour and for 300 dollars you can get a lot done that being said I did get a hoe when I purchased my tractor, lol. There is no way really to justify it though, lol.

I've needed a backhoe less than 10 times in the last 24 years. I've never regretted paying the few times we've needed one. I suppose I have other toys that I bought just because I wanted them, but a backhoe hasn't been one of them. I really need a new heavy rotary brush cutter. The Hardee we bought 20 years ago is beat to heck.

TNT for rear, toplink especially
KK 6 ft standard tiller
ETA Wicked Grapple
KK professional 6 ft rotary cutter [replace 5 ft (too small)]
Belt drive only sickle bar mower (eg. MF 41, etc.)
small baler JD or similar
20 ft trailer so I can haul all my stuff (16 ft too short)
Vaccum trailer for leaves...
PTO run Pellet mill.
Hammer mill for doing pellets

just off the top of my mind(not that there is that much)

I dream of the tractor doing most of the work.
Yesterday I sanded the half mile of private road I maintain by hand 100 shovels full in from the town sand pile and a hundred shovels full out spread ten then move the truck ahead spread ten , repeat. Then it warmed up and rained and made it a moot point for now. As we were driving to dinner last night my wife asked me how much a sander would cost?

This is what I have....JD 3720 with "power beyond" kit added, JD 59" front mounted snowblower, standard 60" bucket, Splitfire 3204 3PT wood splitter, FX65 log winch.

This is what I need... adjustable pallet forks, JD grapple bucket, Box blade, 8" chipper/shredder, 48" flail mower, post hole digger with 10" auger, 60"tine rake.
