John Deere 4410 not moving when peddles pressed

Hello, we have a JD 4410 at our business we use for moving trailers. Recently when pressing forward or reverse peddles it is very sluggish, is this a low oil problem and where can I check levels, and where would the filler hole be.[/B]

Could be stuck brakes, it's a common issue esp on HST's. Search the forums for this issue.

If the engine strains when you go forward or reverse then check the brakes. If it just moves very little but the engine doesn't seem to strain then check the oil level, also sometimes tractor linkage pins fall out so don't overlook this either, especially if the Hydro level is good. Have someone step on the pedals and check the linkage while they do.

On my 4720 I have had occasions when the brake lock was set and the indicator light was not lit. Push the brake to the floor and make sure the brake lock is released.

If the engine does not load down at all when you push the pedals then you may have computer program problems. I have had that issue with my 4520 and supposedly the dealer found a bad connection on the ground strap.

Yes, I would check the connections at the box attached to the pedals. There are several methods of sensing pedal change in vehicles (hall sensors, IR sensors, etc.). I don't know how Deere does it but there has to be a wired link between the sensing unit and the main computer. Could you have snagged a wire going to it? A bad connection?
