What ATV, side by side or UTV do you have.

I bought a new RTV 900 in '09. It now has 600 hours. Before that I had a '06 Honda Rancher with electric shift, with about 1200 hours.

I spent a ton of money going through the top end of the Honda right after I got the RTV and haven't even driven it since. It still starts last time I tried.

The RTV saves tons of wear on my truck and is much more handy.

I like the UTV's after owning lots of ATV's. I guess they all have their purpose but boy the versitility with a UTV is overwelming. If I bught one first I wuld have never wned an ATV. I like them both though...

I don't mean to hijack the thread....but I am kind of looking for a UTV, I have a $7, 000 budget. Thoughts? I want it for just riding around the fields, woods and some trails, as well as gathering firewood. Top speed is not a priority, but I would like to run around 40.

The mid sized Polaris Ranger 400 will fit the bill nicely. The engine has been around since Moby was a minnow, well proven design.

Just sold the 1989 Yamaha 350 Big Bear 4X4 ATV which I bought 2nd hand in 1991. It was a great machine and served me well with few problems. Reason for selling: I purchased a new Yamaha Kodiak 450 6 years ago, and then a new Kubota RTV 900 2 years ago. Both are great machines, and have their purposes. The Kodiak is a go fast fun machine for one with limited cargo capability, a superb engineering evolution of the Big Bear. The Kubota is an incredible work horse. Goes anywhere, like a tank, albeit slowly. It will haul a LOT! I am now considering adding a Polaris RZR for thrills with a passenger.

2012 Sportsman 400HO. Amazed how much snow it can push.

Those and the 500 and 800 are one of the best bang for your buck atv's on the market. I strongly considered buying a Polaris sportsman 800 after owning Hondas all my life. Only reason I didn't was because I found a 300 fourtrax and had always wanted one.

Is the blower to remove bees from the supers that you are taking off? Interesting idea if so...
My father in law has a couple of electric golf carts and a 2001 Toro Workman 2100. They like the carts, I like the Workman.

My Polaris 800 Sportsman H.O. has a bit more power than I could ever use. I would think a 400 or 500 H.O. Sportsman would be more than enough.

Precisely. Just set the super up on end and blow'em off. They are back in the hive in seconds. Wind doesn't bother them cause they are used to it.

Great! Don't give em up! I am 56 this month and have a similar situation as far as toys go, but I have a wife that enjoys them with me!:thumbsup:
