Brewing my favorite Folgers coffee. 38 degrees with clouds and wind. Heading to 44 with clouds, wind and occasional rain all day. I sure hope they are wrong about the storm warnings that are being hyped by the media. Need to rest today. Got all the leaves picked up yesterday. What is left on last tree will blow away with the winds we are getting. Filled Trac-Vac 880 three times. With all the bad weather forecast decided to get last of the items that could freeze winterized.

Drinking coffee and watching the weather. Rain and wind are already started. I am prepped about as much as I can be. Now just have to wait it out. Hope everyone in the storms path comes out all right. Stay safe everyone!

I've been up since 0500. My place is currently still on the fringes and not getting much wind or rain. I tried to secure everything that could blown away or be knocked over yesterday, we shall see how well I did.

I've lost power once while at Church yesterday way before the storm, and I lost my satellite internet once this morning due to a brief hard rain.

According to the weather map on weather dot com, there is a ridge of severe (orange and red) storms gonna hit in the next hour or two. Sandy is crawling, not moving very fast and still well out at sea. Looks like the landfall will be well north of me. Right now it is nice to be a bit inland...

Hopefully this will not me too bad for me or anyone else.

Good morning guys, hope everybody in the area of Hurricane Sandy hasn't had anything happen to them or their buildings, I saw on the news last night about it and it is heading over to Carolina apparently.

Not a bad morning here in Scotland, cold and a bit dull but could be worse.

0710- cool, clouds, light wind. Plenty of time for more coffee before the high winds hit. Counties to the south and some in the west (new york) already cancelled school or are closing early today. Our county is in the same "danger" zone but we aren't as paranoid.

Admittedly, I have to prepare some for the storm. Mostly concerned about the wind. And up until yesterday, my wife still wanted me to rake the leaves. By this time tomorrow, they should be past Prince Edward Island.......

Morning guys...32 degrees here but that is more bearable than warmer weather and having to deal with that b**** Sandy...I am sincerely sorry for everyone who has to worry about the storm, especially so for the TBN members. Hoping any damage is not major and nobody sustains injury or loss of life. I will be praying for everyone.

Morning! Sipping my 1st cup of Joe. Headed out today to pick up a PTO driven generator. Whenever we loose power it seems to be off for days. With well water and septic that uses a pump that isn't a good position to be in.

I moved the Tractor out of the barn and up close to the pasture and driveway well away from any trees that might fall on it.

Raid and minor wind is all we are getting, but if it saturates the ground, then high winds come and stay (this Sandy chick is moving SSSSLLLLLOOOOOOWWWW...) I am worried about losing many trees...

I fed all the animals and just got back inside.

good morning everyone 31 degrees ground covered with snow still snowing we are under a winter storm warning till 8am wensday morning but no big deal got plenty wood got back up power ready to go this will really help our deer hunting next coupple weeks on other hand i hope everyone who is in sandys path our prayers and thoughts for you and hope everyone gets thru with out damages and injuries

Heavy rain overnight and this morning should turn to showers this afternoon with a high of 52F. Not a bad day yesterday and got one goat pen cleaned out, if it does turn to showers this afternoon will do the other.
